Eclipse 12 lighting and TrueLumen LED

I recently bought an eclipse 12 gallon tank, and for some reason it only comes with a tiny 13w bulb that looks like this http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/PetsUnited/T710547

I was wondering if I would be able to use this bulb instead

Also, I'm thinking about purchasing the TrueLumen LED Strip. Does anyone have any experience with it? Does it actually help your plants grow, or does it just make your water look "shimmery"?

Thanks!!!

led lights are good for some plants. The true lumens are among the brighteat led I have ever seen it depends on the plants you want...

Does anyone have any actual data for the TrueLumen strips? I'd love some PAR readings on it.

Did you give this a try? I want more light in my Eclipse 12 but am nervous about retrofitting.

I'd be careful with using anything higher wattage if you keep the lid closed. Even with the 13W bulb it heats up the water to 80s...
