I wouldn't worry about somebody getting stuck with it. You can always lower the price to make it a good deal or sell it to the local University etc...

Either way will work - an outright purchase then repeated resale OR a group purchase. The purchase/resale approach seems so much easier, though, and now I am impatient!

The MQ-200 looks good on the website, although I have no idea what I'm talking about. There is also a cheaper model but it looks like you might need to buy a sensor to make it work, which will wind up being around the same price.

Evidently I have no self-control. I read a bunch of forums/articles and decided to just go for the MQ-200, which I ordered a few minutes ago.

When it arrives I can tell you about how it was packaged/sent. It appears to be quite a small package, only 1 pound according to the shopping cart.

One forum talked about how the meter is calibrated under T12 and should be recalibrate for the type of light that it will measure. Does that even make sense?
