Good questions...

I was wondering about soda bottle material and what tubings are made from the same type plastic. Those never leak Co2 and I bet its a common plastic used in many types of tubing.

I think the "Co2 proof" tubing is called tygon or something similar. Can't remember for sure right now what the name was without having more beer.

I use polyurethane and it works quite well. vinyl will leak 50% or so, silicone will leak around 10-15%. With the wall thickness of the stuff I'm using I would doubt it would leak more than a couple percent max.

So.... silicone tubing will bleed off Co2 at low pressure?
