Another use for aquariums

I was looking at dslreports.com and came across a thread where someone is using an Eclipse Hex 5 to submerge their motherboard and other components.

The poster last posted on December 4 after filling the tank containing computer up with baby oil. I am guessing that the lack of follow up suggests that there were some major problems.

I'm wondering about combining a petroleum based product (baby oil) with a plexiglass or acrylic tank. I'd think it would cause the tank to melt.

Looks interesting, i've seen some pcs with tanks inside them including fish.... It looks like a waste of money buying that eclipse for $80, than buying a glass tank for $5.00
