How deep should substrate be in a Mini M?

Yep... How deep? I want a bit of a slope but I'd rather not have the back be really high to compensate for 3 inches in the front.. So is it okay do do a lower substrate depth in the front and have around 4-5'' in the back?

That will be fine, however, if you do not have any type of foreground plant or rocks to hold that slope, expect it to slowly flatten.

I dont have hardscape in the tank yet, but when I do it will displace enough Aquasoil to add enough all over to compensate for compression.
The tank will have an HC carpet though
