Marineland C-220 Problems

I purchased on of these a couple of years ago and posted about noise problems. At that time I exchanged it for another and ended up with the same rattling noise. Well that one died completely and now the third one (only paid for one) is making the same noise. It's not a normal filter noise but an impeller noise. I've tried everything to make these work. The priming pump on all three also leaked.

Moral of the story. I wouldn't buy another. My main tank has an Eheim 2217 and I'm buying another to replace the Marineland with. Years ago all I bought was Marineland but after my latest experiences won't buy them again. I also have a Stealth Heater dying on me after only two years. Seems their quality control is no more.
