I just could not resist....FLUVAL EBI

well after getting my new osaka tank a few weeks ago i really started reading everything on this site.... thats when i learned about the EBI tank... 48h ago lol

well i just had to get one, plus i figured it would take at least 3-6 weeks to cycle my big tank and this little one probably less.

so here is my new baby

i added a second light and a marine land stealth 25w heater to it.

the only thing THAT ABSOLUTELY SUCKS is that i was sure it would fit right under my osaka tank..... it does not by 1inch!!! i need to figure out where to out this baby before i fill it

BTW i paid 185 TAX in for the tank, second light and heater in canada/montreal

WOW...THATS NICE...

I received mine today & am in the process of setting it up as I write...
I also think it needs a second light in the near future...
I have a fluval e digital 50w heater on the way for this one...
I have the same heater on a 5g & it works great & with the digital readout its easy to keep track of the temp by a glance...

What are you going to put in yours???

i will also setup a co2 system, if i keep it near my osaka then i can pass a line from my co2 tank and just use a little valve or something

You all are killing me. I do NOT need another tank in the house. I am trying hard to pick out a little nano for the office and everywhere I turn you all are posting about the Ebi!
Must. Not. Buy.

Argh!

Actually they are fully submersible...The one I have in my 5g is under water with no problems & is maintaining 78 degrees...They are advertised as submersible heaters...IMO they are the best on the market for the price...

Fluval E heaters are fully submersible in depths up to 39in.
However, that heater is gonna be huge in an 8gal cube. Look in to the Marina C25 heater, it would be much easier to disguise (although it is not adjustable without running an external temp controller) Depending on the temp range in your home, you may not even need a heater for keeping CRS.

I got mine in a month or so ago and added a second light as well and a paintball CO2. I love this little tank. If you're doing CRS, I wouldn't even bother with a heater. Mine sits at about 72-73F 24x7 with no heater.

I will probubly be doing crs & cbs in mine also as iv already added ro water at 6.5 ph but will not be doing co2 at this time...I need a heater as the room it is in fluctuates from 65 to 70 degrees depending on what the temp outside & wind is doing...

65-70 should be fine for CRS/CBS

It was just a few model numbers, and none of the 25 watt ones are suspect to explode.
