What moss to use on this driftwood?

Rehashing my mom's tank, going low tech with just sand and whatever I can stick on this driftwood, I have some bolbitis and NLJF and a couple of anubias. I'd like to basically cover most of it in moss, but what kind?

If you can get some fissadens(phionex moss) it may look cool, but without dimentions or scale for the peice of wood its hard to tell.

I just did the same thing. I used christmas moss,was told it stays low? Only had it for a week. You could use any moss just tie it down as it grows.

Christmas, flame, fissidens... You can go wrong with wood and moss.

Fissidens are my favorite on wood, but grow very slowly. Flame moss looks cool, but has a hard time attaching. My other favorite is Taiwan moss, and/or Peacock moss.

I just tried x-mas moss for the first time and it worked out great for what i wanted it for. I covered the driftwood and tied it down with black sewing thread. It worked out perfectly. The time difference between the pics is 72 days. How this helps you make an informed decision.

It's for a 5.5 gallon (it's slightly oversized)

Weeping moss might be another option. i personally love the way it looks

I have a 5.5 with a large piece of wood, the wood stands from top to bottom, with taiwan moss running down both sides. Im quite pleased.

i have fissadens in my 6 and i realllly like the way it looks on drift wood but if you want somthing with a finer leaf look good old java moss may work too
