I am toying with the idea of using undergravel heating for my 120 gallon tank. Does the benefit of this type of heating out weigh the cost. Also any suggestions on products or vendors would be greatly appreciated.

The whole point of under-gravel heating is to create uneven temperatures in the subsrate for water circulation through the subsrate. If you are going to be having discus, it is already warm and they would not be of much use.

IMO they're a waste of money. They're only of limited value if the heat actually kicks on, which may never happen in Texas. The only real benefit to cable heaters is to provede circulation in the substrate to prevent it from getting stagnant. If you have high light and CO2 you'll be replanting often which will make the cables a real PITA to work with. Don't bother, spend your money on something else for the tank.

While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
