I just got a block for the first time. I wonder if this is the same thing that attacked APC last week?

Ok here is the latest update friends.

The hack/malicious code was indeed removed when I said it was. The problem is that Google had already flagged the site as hosting malicious/malware code. Unfortunately every single modern browser now pulls from the same database when looking to see if a website is bad. This database of course belongs to google.

I have now submitted a request for google to review the Planted Tank and verify that the site is now safe. This could take an hour to a couple of days. I'm hoping for a couple of days. Once that has completed the warnings will subside.

It is important to note: If you have cleared your browser's cache and are

1) Asked to install additional plugins
2) Redirected to another website

It would be helpful if you let me know. This means their is still remnants of the hack floating around.

APC wasnt hacked, it was a link that was bringing up the warning.

Imagine if these hackers did something constructive with their skills!

I cleared my cache and am no longer getting the warning message on Google Chrome.

Just finished a thorough scan of my computer and all is clear. Thanks for catching this before it became a serious issue, Kyle! I'd much rather deal with that annoying alert while we wait to hear back from google than some sort of malware.

Is this the reason the site is getting a large outbreak of spam posts recently? I have already reported two today.

It's not necessarily a new member thing. Unfortunately it's only time before a site gets hacked, which really sucks. Kyle, thanks again for the heads up, in my dealings with google, weekends are usually the best for getting reviews done. Normally backups are done on the weekends, and most places don't do code changes on weekends ( unless planned ahead of time) therefore weekend staff usually are the ones who handle tasks like this one.

Again as a new member I'm impressed with this site on multiple levels, including the steps the owners take to keep people informed.

yup warning is gone.. And the spams seems not out of the ordinary. We have a staff here that cleans them up pretty quickly.

I'll second that. The amount of spam I'm getting is ridiculous. Thankfully, Safari has a feature called "bounced", which makes the sender think his email was sent to a bad email address. I love that feature.
