10 Gallon Shrimp Tank

Well, the 2.5G became a 10G, but the 2.5G will be set back up shortly as I will need it for shrimp coming.

This one will be all RCS for now.

CaribSea Sand Substrate (need to add one more bag)

2 Rocks
Anubias Coffolia

I hope to get betting some moss locally to put on the rocks soon. I know I have shrimp coming the end of next week, but have a trade up trying to get some sooner.

Okay, added christmas moss, subberwassertank, and maybe some will moss. Unfortunately some duckweed also, but I can work on clearing that over time.

Always open for recommendations. I'm going to try and get some better rocks tomorrow. I think I spotted some on the way home.

Some people like having duckweed in their shrimp tanks as the roots are a good place for young to hang out and infusoria to grow. Just something to think about.

I'm not a fan of duckweed at all, but at least it stays up top where it's easy to grab. Of course, you always miss that 1 leaf.....

That's why I don't want duckweed. Wow it's been a long time since I updated this thread. I've moved 3 times since starting this (long story) and just added shrimp back in.... I think April.

So, time for pictures. Tank needs cleaned as I just moved/rearranged but I need to get some cheese cloth to cover the gravel vac before I do so I don't suck up the young ones.

Disclaimer - all pictures taken with my Droid 2 5 MP camera - at least it is a camera since my good one went missing.

Well, my RCS are breeding like crasy now. I have at least 30 in the tank. Now to wait until fall financial aid and get a couple assassin snails......
