This summer has been NASTY... Tank hit 90 degrees numerous times. Sat at 87 degrees for the past few weeks... The Java fern even took a dive recently... My chinese hillstream loach died... BUT the heat should be done as of next week. Hopefully everything will bounceback and I can take some decent shots! Im gonna have to get a chiller next summer...

Thanks. It was really sad to see the loach go... At least with all the trouble, the anubias coffeefolia is actually doing great! And thanks to all for the kind comments!

All the ottos died... The headdress of java fern lost EVERY leaf... (but its already on a comeback- Java Fern is awesome) It actually looks killer... The rhizomes look all crown of thorns! My aquatic messiah! heheh The tank sat at 90+ for weeks... The funny part is the Anubias Coffeefolia did AWESOME! Got really healthy and grew really well. And the fissidens fontanus is just going insane... Ive been pulling chunks like crazy, shoving it in rocks and made 6 new mats with mesh. It could take over the tank given enough time... Which would be awesome! Now the tank is back between 76 and 78 so I bought a new school- Rummy Nose Tetras! 17 of them. A couple have signs of ich but thats fine as there are no other fish in the tank so its a quarantine by default! They look really healthy othewise so Im not worrried. After I pulled the rasboras the tank sat empty for months other than a billion cherry shrimp. Hopefully the fissidens will hide the babies and the tetras won't hurt the population too much. The rummies are schooling like nobodys business (which is why I chose them). Ive been trying to get phtots taken for months but my photographer friend is having major life issues... The one pic on page one that looks great is sooooooo different than the tank looks now with mad amounts of fissidens and the anubias going off... I gotta get decent shots done!

Amazing def. one of my favorite tanks that I have seen. I could stare into that for days without sleeping. Sorry to hear about some of your down points, but you live and you learn. Hopefully, the future chiller will fix a lot the problems that you've had. Keep up the hard work and can't wait to see you other tanks down the road

Gorgeous tank! I was just at a LFS and they had some mayan type stuff and thought WTH would I do with that. You answered that question.

I may have said this in one of my previous posts, but I don't care for many "landscapes", but like StraightAddicted, I could stare at this for days...
