Looking to buy discus fish in Ithaca NY

I'm moving to Ithaca next week and am curious as to where I can find some nice looking discus fish locally. I know there's a walmart and petsmart or petco nearby but I would prefer to buy from a local breeder. Please let me know.

Thanks!
Sean

thanks for the tip!

I've been looking on simplydiscus; I'm hopeful I'll get better luck there. Yeah, I'm preparing to make up to a 2hr drive, so Syracus or Rochester may be my best bet for some quality discus. Just thought I'd check here.

If you are gonna order I would really recommend macks discus or. Macs discus. I forget which one is the real name. Amazing fish.

Thanks Joraan, I've pinged him for a shipping quote. He has some pretty nice discus.

Would shipping via USPS priority from Brooklyn to Ithaca take one day or is it too risky? Trying to save money wherever I can. :$)

If you have access to car, why not drive down, it will take 4-5 hours.....Tho' Mark is experienced shipper but I won't take a chance.

Not sure how my discus fry raising skills are but if it's not too pricey I might give it a shot.

I'll only have a rental the first week I'm in Ithaca. I'm a pretty experienced aquarist and know how to properly acclimate new fish using a drip line. I don't foresee any issues if the fish come alive.
