Hey Eden

I use 50/50 Coir/pumice for my mesembs and some of my cacti. Perlite works too. This mix works well. The good thing with coir is that it will wet easily after drying out. Peat moss is very difficult to wet after it has dried out. It doesn't have any nutritive value, so you have to feed your plants. I like the pumice because it does not float out of the mix like perlite does.

I hope you let your plants rest a few days after taking them out of the pots and removing soil from them. The roots you damaged need to callous over before placing them in their new pot. You stand a really good chance of rotting all of your succulents/cacti if you neglect this step.

If you have just re-potted and didn't let them callous, I would take them all out of their pots now and let them dry in the air for at least 4 days before repotting.

Times 2 over and over. Your pot is way over sized for your plants. They will rot unless you are very careful with them. Plastic pots slow down the drying of the mix. This can be good or bad. Mesembs need to dry out between waterings. And they need to dry out fast.

Love those Mesembs! They're next on my shopping list to add to my small succulent collection.

Hehe, I saw some other ones today. But... I had to hold back. I don't want to spend anymore of my living money and I don't got room. I do have a south facing window, but there is a big tree right in front of it, so that doesn't help.

Must. resist. urge.

Well some of my leaves looked kinda droopy/flimsy and/or shriveled up, so I took that as a message that they would like some water. I haven't watered them since I repotted them, so I watered the big pot with the multiple succulents throughly, and gave the mimicry a light helping of water. I think the Lithops and the Gibbaem are dormant so I didn't give it much.

Well, mine finally bloomed today though mine doesn't look as petal-ly.

Nice photo's. It's great when your plants flower. Makes it worth it even more.

Yup, now I am awaiting for the bud on my Anacampseros lubersii to become a pretty flower!

If I attach this Aloe to the end of the stick and whack someone with it...
