Hi All,
See I'll like to start a Nano tank in my office. But with my pass experince, I've always failed in my attempt ( at least 3 times). The plants either died on me or the water pollutes too fast. If anyone could advise some tips, it would be very appreciate. I'll go home to measure the table size today to advise the size of the tank... Cheers |

I've been wanting to set up one of those small azoo tanks. Get the mini filter, the light, dose flourish excel and put a heat mat underneath and you should be all set. You would probably have to do water changes twice a week, so all the work has kept me from doing it. Limit it to shrimp or one fish. I was going to do just dwarf hair grass and ricca. One thing I kinda noticed is that having the filter really makes it easier to keep algae under control. By keeping the ammonia to zero, things seem to be easier to balance.

I've had great luck with a 3 gallon eclipse, standard lighting, laterite in the gravel crypts, anubias, and a mysterious stem plant I can't id. The tank thrives, and my reeding levels are always perfect.

I started a 2.5 gal planted tank about four months ago. It uses 18w Coralife compacts, fluorite substrate and a DIY yeast CO2 system (scaled down to fit in a .5 L bottle). Needless to say, my plants are exploding, and my two amano shrimp and oto keep it fairly clean. I change water fairly often, but it only really needs it after two weeks. Consitering the bio-load on the system (a betta and two danios, plus the cleanup crew), I am really suprised to see how stable it is.
