Well, at least with those amounts, you will probably never have to buy fertilizer again.

Lol, Yeah, but I'm looking to open an aquatic shop, people here in Kuwait, Arab Gulf have very low acknowldge and they pay for anything, they don't care if they spend 300$/Monthly for a good looking Tank/Aquarium. And They're so lazy to do the maintenance.

As for me I'm looking to go with the right path to grow aquatic plants, and it's hard for me to order from the US/UK, but sometimes we have to. Which cost a lot for the shipping. and some items are restricted to be shipped outside the US/UK.

Thanks.

If you start an EI dosing method, without dosing any phosphates, you will be very disappointed in the plant growth that results. People who used to fertilize without phosphates almost always were unhappy. Then, when they added some phosphates the plants started growing so fast they ran out of nitrates quickly. This used to cause lots of confusion. Since people there are willing to pay what it takes to get nice healthy plants, it will be worth the effort to get the KH2PO4.

How about CO2? Are you able to get bottles of pressurized CO2? That is the most important one of the nutrients.

I do have 10lb Co2 cylinder with Tunze Co2 System include the pH/co2 controller.
Also refilling is so easy and cheap cause people here drink a lot of cola :P, About 10 minutes drive away, and 30 minutes to fill up. fill up cost less than 10$

As for the phosphate i will try to get it by the weekend from Saudi Arabia, it will be about the same price or maybe cheaper.

Can't wait to get everything working correctly.

Thanks.

Find a good trace mix and you're good to go.

Agricultural supply is the way our club got started in dry ferts. 50 lb bags of each KNO3, KH2PO4 and K2SO4.
Then someone bagged it up into zip-lock bags and shared it with the club pretty much at cost. A sandwich baggie holds pretty close to 1 lb of any of these.

Finally, I've got the Mono Potassium Phosphate - MPK - 0-52-34.

I had to drive to Saudi Arabia to get the KH2PO4, Since I've tried to order from GreenLeafAquarium, AquariumFertilzer, AquaFlora Nurseries, but PayPal didn't accept my credit card because it's from Kuwait.

The trip was 1600 kilometers = 994 Miles (Total), And i bought a 25 Kilogram which is 55 lb, The price is 145 Saudi riyals = 38 U.S. dollars.

15 Hours of driving from Kuwait to Saudi Arabia (Al Riyadh) and the way back.

Now, its time to use EI Method to feed my poor stunted plants

Regards,

By driving that far for KH2PO4 I think you win our annual prize as "The World's Most Dedicated Planted Tank Enthusiast"!

Thanks!

I had to do this in a country that people know nothing plants. We have a lot of fish, plants, corals, but when you get into the specific thing, no one is going to help you.

Do you know that in Kuwait + Saudi Arabia that Ammonia is forbidden to enter the country? in Saudi also the Potassium Nitrate cannot be sold within a license. I'm Lucky that I've found it in my country.

Hello,

I hear your pain bro. I live in Jeddah Saudi Arabia and getting supplies at the beginning was a major pain in the nick. now i got into building vivariums and boy I tell it's really hard getting material and plants over here. it seems that every part of the vivarium is a project in itself
how are things coming along with your tank?

Everything went well after dosing the NPK, but still having some problems my plants new leaves are going small, maybe its something with calcium not sure, I'm dosing Seachem flourish as Micro.

Have to figure out the Issue, the problem that i don't have a Co2 drop checker, couldn't find it anywhere in my country. Have to order from the US.

Yours,

Default Where'd you get potassium nitrate?

it is very difficult to go and find places where it is available. Please help me out.
I need around 1-3 kg for a hydroponics related project.
