Well I wrote a big thing about my tank with pics and videos but I'm new so it deleted it. Thanks for deleting my first post, it only took a half hour to write it.

I have a tank, and its nice looking. It has stuff in it. When the forum lets me post, I'll post it again, maybe.

Ok lets try this again....here is the tank a few weeks ago, before I changed substrate to fluorite, which I did last week. It looks just like this still though basically:

So there ya go...this tank is basically an experiment; I've been into reefs for about 15 years, and I'm a marine biologist. I just started my own custom aquarium/maintenance company so I need to get this whole planted tank/nature aqarium thing straightened out so I can offer it to my cleints!! To that end, I've just purchased a 10lb CO2 tank, regs/solenoid/bublecntr/needle valve/co2 reactor, and I'm going to grab today: hemianthus c., blyxa japonica, dwarf hair grass, l. aromatica and taiwan moss.

PS, the sponge filter in the back was used to cycle the tank, and has since been removed.

Well here is a tank update a few weeks after CO2 introduction. Pretty sure the HC didnt make it this round; it was infested with algae when i got it, now its mostly just algae.



I introduced some malaysian trumped snails. I also tried a sort of zebra striped snail, but it chewed holes in my crypts so i removed it!

Couple days later, the limnophilia is really starting to look great IMO...like ...very dr. seuss lol

Things are progressing. There is some BBA, but not a terrible amount. I'm anxiously awaiting my drop checker(s) to arrive in the mail so that I can start to gauge how much CO2 is actually in the water. If I were to wager a guess, I'd say 'not enough' lol.
