Manzanita in NYC!

I was taking a stroll in manhattan and dropped by 2 stores and found that they carried sandblasted manzanitas!

The 2 locations I found are:

Langdon Florist
62 Reade St.
New York, NY 10007

Langdon doesn't have any pictures on their site so you will just need to drop by to see what they offer. Dry Nature has pictures of on their site, but the store has a much bigger selection. I think it's a bit pricier than ordering them from S&S, but it's worth a look if you don't want to pay shipping.

Does anybody know where else I can look for some?

The flower district has a lot of stores that sell various types of wood. I used to get most of my manzanita pieces at a place called Dry&Silk.. or Silk&Dry.. or Bob&Mary..

Yeah, but i'm not sure if it's safe for the tank. Don't want to spend $200 just to realize that it can kill all my fish!

I decided to hold off on the manzanita until I got my new tank. I was referring to the sandblasted ghostwood in the above post.

Went to Langdon today. Really nice guys working there and beautiful manzanita branches. No stumps, most pieces have a lot of side branching. Unfortunately, my tanks are too small to house any of them without cutting them up. I think most of the pieces are at least 3 feet in length. They have smaller branches which are much finer but they have the bark and leaves on them.

Did have time for flower district but here are some findings from xev11.

Anyone buy any driftwood from them or know if they are aquarium safe?? I may stop by tomorrow if I get the chance.

I have access to Manzanita from Arizona. Can supply you with her e-mail address if you want. The woman could probably get any types of wood people want. Untreated, fresh from the desert.
