I found this nicely matched set of 4 quarter sized Angels at a lil "mom and pop" fish shop and had to get them.
I was going to order some but I like to "see" my fish before I buy them. I have the experts over at "The AngelFish Society"( http://www.aquaworldnet.org/tas/ ) helping me to get the genetics of them as I know nothing much about that. They are marbled with with some beautiful golds throughout. Hopefully I get a breeding pair out of these... ya never know. ![]()

Nice angels, buck. Hopefully you will get a breeding pair from these four. I know what you mean bout wanting to see the fish before you buy them. Usually I won't care about the appearance of a fish, but angels, I have to see them, and I want the ones that I want. It annoys the lfs employees sometimes...

Looking good, man! I thought the same thing Stacey did - that driftwood is immense! Or at least it looks so next to the juvenile Angels. Juvenile Angels sure are adoreable, though. I'm giving one of my large Adult Angels away soon and getting a few more juveniles (need more females!!)

Heres a shot I just took tonight...the tank is pretty much planted except for the foreground which I havent decided on yet... Im not sure of the lighting so I have some test pieces in the front left corner...
And yes...that is a large piece of wood... its 29" long and 13" across at the base.... heck it stays at about 10" all the way up ! It was perfect for this tank.... the nice part about it is that its only about 4" thick so it does not shade as much I thought it would. ![]() One of the other angels...he has a lot more yellow and thinks he's a tuff guy! Dominant yes...tuff ?

Are the neons in the same tank as the Angels ? Neons are Angel snacks. One by one they'll slowly dissappear.

the neons look great, hopefully with the angels so small, they'll stand a chance of not being lunchables. The tank is impressive!
So why is it that neons get munched by angels as soon as they can fit them in their mouths, but other tetras make it? I have a dozen black neons (Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi) still swimmin' with the big boys, but throw a neon in there and the chase is on! What's with that? They are the same size. Is it like kids who only eat the orange and red tootsie pops, and turn their little noses up at the brown ones? Stacey

It definitely has to do with thier color more than size. I too have black neons with the angels and not one of them has been affected. At one time I had 20 neons in the tank with the angel and one by one they were dissappearing till they were all gone.
