foam/bubble build up?

I just started getting a foam/bubble build up on the surface of the water. What's causing this?

eisenbacteria or just regular surface film. do you have surface agitation? you can try putting a cup in and skimming the surface

Yea, I have surface agitation from the powerhead. I guess it's not enough though.

Bubblers are great for getting rid of surface scum, I keep one in my 10G floating at the surface so I don't have to see any bubbles and the waterline is crystal clear. I'm going to add an airstone.
