Dang that Mr. Aqua is nice too. But I always wonder what people do for lids on these things? I can't have an open top tank here in earthquakeland with a cat drinking from the tank.

You could probably just make one out of egg crate. I had the pleasure of doing that this morning after breaking my glass top and having my cat go for a swim last night. Took all of 3 minutes to measure and cut it.

It might be glass but it's super tiny, did you see the photo with the 2 goldfish and the bottle next to the tank.

Would it be big enough for a few low-grade crystal reds? Provided I do really small water changes and don't mess with the water chemistry. If not I'll just put some fire reds in it.

I used a 13w cfl but that was too much light for me and I algae.

I have cats and require lids, as well (not that it stops them from taking a drink in the openings, but still...).

I've heard of people having lids made for tanks like these. I think glass shops can cut out any shape you want. I've thought about doing it myself since so many of the really cute small tanks have open tops.

Hah i had this with a betta, felt bad for it and it broke recently. I put the betta in a 5.5 gal i derimmed that im looking to put a new betta in seeing mr blue died in january after i think about 6 years.. love bettas personalities
