What would you recommend to do if the fish/inverts are coming from hard water and going into soft water?
I've recently lost shrimp and snails using drip acclimation and am hesitant to try that again. |

Thank you for this! I always seemed to have more issues with floating and could see them getting more stressed as it went on. I never understood the process of what happens in the bag when you open it. I will be using this method from now on! First try will be on my Amanos and Nerites coming from you tomorrow!

I honestly plop and drop everything, butit is harder on them into soft water. If you were dealing with particularly sensitive species, I would do a very very very slow drip acclimation over a full day. Snails generally don't do well in softwater anyway (with notable exceptions), as an aside.
