alternanthera reineckii looking like ludwigia
After almost 10 days the alternanthera reineckii that I bought is looking more like ludwigia repens. The funny thing is that I replaced the ludwigia with reineckii because its lower leaves kept falling off. But I'm dumfounded as to why the reineckii has changed its appearance. Has this happened to anyon else before?

Looks a bit like Ludwigia glandulosa to me... If it truly is, it's an upgrade from Alternanthera reineckii IMO.

I swear, I know how A.reineckii looks like and that's what it was when I bought it. In fact, I've gone back to the LFS and he still has a lot of them (from the same tank I got mine from).

that plant you have might not be a. reineckii. The plant in the pic have alternating leaves while A.Reineckii do not.

I already have 4 X 54w T5's over a 75 gallon tank, 10 hrs a day but the all four bulbs are almost a year old. If it's Glandulosa then it should look reder. I was thinking about adding a another set of a year old T5's that I have laying around here.
