I use the JBL Proflora set.At first it had a 800 ml cylinder recipient ,special Co2 hose with screws to fix it on the nozzles ,and a check valve to prevent water suction from the tank.
One would have to mix contents of Sachet A ,with Sachet B....which were basically yeast and sugar(although I haven't tasted it).The hose was about 3 or 4 feet long ,and I cut it up to about 2' and a half.
I used the JBL DYI components A & B twice ,as they came with the set ,and now ,as I don't feel like spending money on some more ,I used ordinary sugar and baker's yeast.
I used the same sugar/yeast/water proportions as marked on the recipient for the original A&B sachets ,but I cut the tubing to the tank shorter.
I didn't use a safety leak bottle ,the one which you would normally use"in line" between mixture recipient and tank, to prevent leakages of mix in the water.....just straight ,shorter hose from recipient to tank.
The recipient has a small sponge cylinder on the inside nozzle ,to stop mixture leakages ,and i can say ,after using it for 3 months(with original mix ingredients though) ,nothing got past the sponge.....the tubing was dry on the inside.
SHould I have used that safety bottle after all ,if I made the tube shorter?
