Im doing a 3 gal with a HC carpet. Im doing a dry start and was wondering do you just lay the clumps on top of the soil or do you need to actually press the roots into the soil. its planted on top of eco-complete and covered with a glass lid. i spray it twice a day.
I actually did a little experiment/ too lazy to push or attempt to push it into the soil and found it made little difference especially if you are doing DSM. I found either way the roots made it down I to the soil and started to form a mat. Neither section showed any difference in growth or spread.
