I've heard Malawa shrimp, aka Caridina pareparensis parvidentata, are pretty hardy, unsure if as hardy as cherries, but pretty darn close I think.
Not as colorful as cherries, but more interstingly colored. If that makes any sense, lol
Give them a google and you'll know what I mean. They all look a bit different.
Oh yes, and tangerine tigers. I plan to try the next after Im sure my cherries continue to do well for me.
The Baubalti group is fairly tough, breed well in harder water and would fit the bill. Sulawesi species could be an option if your parameters stay true and if you allow the tank to stabilize and grow in for 3-4 months prior to shrimp introduction.
My test kit might not be super accurate because its api test strips.
