Rivercity Aquatics is at 12108 Roxio Drive, Suite D. (off 183 and McNeil, behind the Enterprise Car Rental). The manager is working on getting more plants in the store, and he is willing to order from Fishvet if enough people are interested. He is about to do a book order for people that are members of HCCC . The store is not very big, but he usually has great prices on many items like SAEs (around 3.99 or 4.99).
Personally, I am usually at aquatek on Friday nights about an hour before they close.
Wish I'd known they were having a sale. They need to email people on their list. I would have gone up there. I live about an hour away. They've always treated be well. And I've sold them some shrimp and plants I have had in excess. I'm thinking about starting a 55 gallon african tank at my office. The sale would have been a great time to get all the equipment I needed. Oh well. Maybe next time.
I have been really happy with the fish and plants I've bought there. And they don't treat me like someone who doesn't know anything (I've experienced this at other pet stores.) I have a degree in freshwater zoology and my specialty in my senior track and some of grad school involved cichlids. I find it really funny to be treated like I am an idiot in some pet stores. I usually know more than the sales people assume that I am an idiot. Aquatek has never treated me like an idiot. Needless to say, they get my money before anyone else does.
My daddy taught me that assume is spelled "ass-u-me" as in if you assume things you make an ass out of you and me.
