Up until now, I've only used paintball canisters and just had it filled at Dick's. I'd like to make the upgrade to a real CO2 tank but I'm not sure where to buy or refill them in the area. I'm in South Euclid, so someplace on the east side would be preferred.
Look for a welding supply shop. They'll fill. They may require you to subscribe to their tank program. That's common and ensures you always have a safe, tested tank. Easy way to go...you pay an initial fee, the return your old tank and pickup a new, full tank.
Old thread, but I figured I'd share some info. I bought a 5lb aluminum CO2 tank from O.E. Meyer in Lorain (but they have another location in Garfield Heights). It was $75 for the filled tank and they charge around $15 when you swap your empty for a filled one. As far as I know, this is the cheapest price in the city. I've called a ton of welding supply places on the west side and none can compete.
Yep O.E. Meyer Co.in Garfield Hts, OH worked perfectly for me. Totally recommend them.
