Copepods and mystery worms

Hey,

I have an infestation of copepods and some weird white worms in my 10G. The worms are free floating and swim in an S-shape. How do I get rid of them? I have a berried shrimp in the tank, so I can't use copper. Thanks.

P.S.: I don't just want to reduce the numbers; I want them to be completely gone.

I have them in my tanks too. I've read that it's from over feeding, but I even get them in empty tanks. The only way I know to get rid of them is to have fish that eat them. My dwarf puffer, bettas, and tetras have taken care of them in their respective tanks. My shrimp/oto tank is the the only one that still has them.

When I noticed them for the first time I tried using dog dewormer (it's a specific type... I forget which now), but it didn't work. I think it's used for hydra and planaria.

Should I throw in a few cardinals before my berried shrimp's eggs hatch?

The worms and Copepods are harmless to shrimp.

You can toss in a few Cardinals as a clean up crew the numbers should be minimal within a few hours.

When I notice a huge outburst, I just tend to remove my berried into my little breeder box to be on the safe side.

Toss in my Cardinals for a couple hours and I am gold.

You can get minnows from Petsmart for 15 cents a piece. They will nosh all over some copepods and are too small to eat baby shrimp. I keep em in a 2.5 gal and introduce them to my 10 gal shrimp tank whenever I notice the little bugs/worms dancing on the glass.
