DIY co2 with champagne yeast?

Reading through different threads I see the mention of champagne yeast being excellent for diy co2.

Does anyone have the recipe handy by chance?

Oh, and do you have any recommendations to someone new to diy co2?

I use light brown sugar with champagne yeast. The recipe I use is: 2/3 cup of brown sugar per 16oz of water, half a teaspoon of champagne yeast, and a little bit of baking soda. The mixture lasts about 5-6 weeks for me, depending on the temperature and the amount of yeast I initially add. I use a cheap, ceramic diffuser but there are probably better options for diffusing the CO2.

I use Wine Yeast, which stops working around 18 % chamagne yeast will last longer.

I use my DIY Co2 system, to make Mead.... it works. I also add yeast Nuterients to it too.

How much is a little bit of baking soda?

Also, can I do dry ferts with diy co2, or is it too much on the system?

I just eyeball it but half a teaspoon should be good per 32oz of water.

There shouldn't be anything wrong with dry ferts. I believe the amount of light you have is a limiting factor on how much ferts to use along with DIY CO2. However, I'm not too experienced on the subject of dry ferts since I don't use them (yet). You're better off asking in the fertilizers sub-forum for the appropriate dosing schedule.
