Do you guys have any fish that have turned out to be awesome algae eaters, despite not being labled as one?

For me, my Rainbow Shark cleans my glass better then any snail or algae eating fish I've owned. All day long, he scrubs the glass and a good amount of my leaves clean.

My CAE is wonderful too despite being an old fart, but my Rainbow Shark is definitely an unexpectedly awesome algae eater.

Who are your unexpected algae eating champs?

best string algae cleaner bar none for me is your common goldfish. i specifically keep a small one in my tanks to take care of it. a 2" oranda cleaned up my entire 120g by itself and continues to do so. the trick is to just not feed it for a day or so and since they are omnivores will start to go after vegi matter, algae being the easiest to eat. my kids love them as well so it helps. they just look out of place in a planted tank setup.
