Java fern growth rates?

I'm planning on having it be under high lights in a dirt based tank. How fast can I expect it to grow, if I'm starting with nearly bare rhizomes?

will there be CO2? And is it on wood/rocks and if so how far from the substrate will they be?
I can't be exact, but in my low tech tank my java ferns once melted completely but regrew into decent sized bushes within a few months, I'd imagine that in high light with CO2 you could probably get them to be looking like plants within a month or two

takes about a month if you strip all the leaves if you have high light and co2. Mine grew about 2 1/2 inches in a month.

I'll be using excel since I have a HOB with a lot of splash, will that make a difference? It's going to be planted A) be on some driftwood and B) wedged between rocks on top of the substrate.
