40B Lighting with Pressurized CO2
I know this has been asked before, and I have searched and read threads which I believe point me to believe my idea is correct, however, I'd like to confirm that the following will be a good fit:
I just nabbed a 40B at PetCo's $1/gallon sale (wasn't expecting to!). I'm going to do pressurized CO2 and I'm thinking 2 of the following lights should work well for me: http://amzn.com/B001F99524 These are dual T5NO fixtures, 42W total per fixture, that include bulbs $52 each. I was thinking of spacing them about 6" apart to ensure full coverage from front to back over the tank. Can anyone confirm this will be sufficient? Thank you! Joe |

I used these same lights on my 40G tall tank. I had an old school retro fit kit that burnt out after a few years. I bought the Coralife T5's for a quick fix, but ended up using full time. they're cheap in every way, but for the money they do the job!!

Those lights should give you good low light, and with CO2, a lot of different plants will do well with that combination.
