2217 - $129. Earlier it was $139. In past weeks it has been about $145.
2215 - $93. It has been on sale for $99 for a few weeks now, so only $7 here.
Code: supersaver10 should save you an additional 10%. It brings the 2217 down to $116 shipped. Save about $30 off typical retail prices.

Bunch of other's on sale, but those are the only two prices I've been watching.

Not sure if I can ask this here, or if I need to post it in the lights section, but will the planted + replace my T5 Hos? I'm looking at replacing those bulbs, and I've toyed with the idea to switching to led's. This might be the right time if the deal is good.
Jace- we might be aiming for the same thing. I was doing a google search about these lights, and sure enough some threads here popped up.
I'm using pressurized CO2 - so the fugeray may not be enough for high light on its own. Can someone confirm?
From what little I know of LEDs (there's a big learning curve here, and it might be worth learning about the spectrum before making a purchase), I think the planted + is the one to go with.
But how are you coming to that conclusion? It seems like this is a bunch of hype with no meat and potatoes to prove they're suitable to a planted tank that's larger than a 55g
On Big Als Online are the Eheim classic filters and Hydor inline heaters on a decent sale? I'm thinking of picking up a 2213 and the 200watt 1/2 heater with the discount code it comes to $100.18.
I bought a 2217. Goes for about $145 to $155, I got it for $116. The 2215 was only $6 off or so, so not such a great buy there. I'm not sure about everything else, but maybe that gives you an idea of the kind of discount. Don't forget about the supersaver10 code which nets you an extra 10%
Thank you, I thinking I'd only be saving about 10-15 bucks...I'll probably skip it then and just pick them up when I'm closer to getting the tank setup 100%. I know amazon likes to change prices frequently so maybe I'll just keep an eye on there for them to drop.
Currently the 48 inch planted plus can be had for $100, normally $127 according to Amazon. Saving about $20 on the 30 inch also right now. The 36 inch goes up in an hour and I'll be waiting!
Bump:
FWIW, Amazon has changed their prices on the 2215 while I was looking for filters in the last few months, but only by $3 cheaper. If you're interested and you know what you want you probably won't find better deals. With the exception of the 2215 which seems to be perpetually on sale at Big Al's for $99. I've been eyeing a 2217 for a few months as well and I've not seen them cheaper. Another member here reportedly snagged one for $100 a few days ago on an auction, but I guess that was a one off and done thing.
