Hey guys, I'm from Allentown, PA but will be in Boston next Tuesday. On Wednesday I'll be coming home and was looking for possible stopping points along the way and this place came up as perhaps the best aquatic stop. Problem is they don't open till 1pm. If I arrive in Northampton area around 11am is there anything you guys could recommend in the area to do until they open?

TPT says I'm an algae grower... I'd like to think of myself as one hell of a Cabomba farmer.

I'd say that's enough time to check out Magic Wings: http://www.magicwings.com/

Pretty cool place, imo. About 14 miles north, 20 minute drive from Aqua View.

No problem! And if you're heading there first, you can avoid paying the tolls on 90 and use route 2.

Drove through last weekend, and i'd say if your a scenic drive type route 22 north through upstate NY to route 2 east to north adams, then south on the 91 to north hampton. I went the opposite way but it was nice :-)

Thanks for the tips, we're definitely doing the conservatory. I'll actually be coming down from Brattleboro. After the show in Boston I'm seeing Tuesday night I'm staying with a friend near Manchester. From there I'm heading West and then dropping down.

Just wanted to drop by and say that the butterfly conservatory was excellent! The reptile/beetle room was an unexpected and awesome touch, and I loved that the sanctuary wasn't just butterflies, but frogs, birds, a pond, and quails just running around as well. It was a really neat place.

Aqua View was also very nice, but small. They had some beautiful fish, and plants I considered purchasing. Only reason I didn't is that the tank I'd be buying them for doesn't have any algae yet, and in some of their tanks they did had some.

If they could get a bigger store to have a good selection to go along with obviously great quality, they'd be awesome. Time to move East to the Boston market!
