Nordestini or Peppered cory?

ok so i went into petco today (i know not the best place to buy fish) to look at the price for some panda cories. one on my pandas died today so i wanted to get another one but when i was looking for some pandas i came across some cories that looked like peppereds. but they looked kind of different somehow. i found the tag for them and they called it "Spotted Cory" and said that they only got to 2 in. and i also looked at the scientific name and it said "Corydoras sp." I came home and did some googling and the cory looked a lot like the nordestini cory. btw the common name that was listed was of no help to id the fish. so if the cories were in fact nordestini i might just scoop them all up, they were like $4 something, and if they were peppereds would i be getting ripped of? also the pandas were $6 is that too much? but anyway whats the difference between the nordestini and the peppereds? sorry i don't have any pictures

$6 is a decent price for pandas.

They are peppered cories.
