I saw this, looked nice and wanted to give it a try. Has anyone else tried this? It claims to have double check valve but when I look at each end....I can see though the little hole. How can there be something in place?
FWIW, I've been using a Fluval bubble counter for a few months now and for the $5 price it can't be beat. So if the UpAqua doesn't work out give it a try.
The UP Aqua is only $6 on Amazon... I have one, and I don't like it simply because it didn't come with ANYTHING to hold it in place. I have some extra clips with suction cups that sort of fit it, but if one of those falls off and the thing tips sideways, there goes most of your water.
Anyways, the "check valve" in the UP Aqua is a silicone disk and a spring. Not very high tech. I would second the recommendation of using another higher quality check valve ahead of it.
I have a check valve, followed by a glass bubble counter, and then another check valve above it, just figure this was more compact and lesser connecting with the way I currently have it
