She now has her own little tank. Do you think Shrimp get lonely? I dont want to move another one till I know noone is going to die in that tank. I always seem to make things worse when i try to make changes.

If I was smart I would have put one of the plain pearls in there before moving my only one with stripes.. but to late now.

Think I should add a couple juvies so she wont be lonely?

And she needs a name!

I wouldnt. I mean, If something goes wrong in the new tank, it would really suck but theres no reason to lose more than just the one shrimp. She'll have plenty of friends in a couple of weeks when she drops those new babies.

Default Awesome, Jade.

Hey, all. Those are shrimp from my colony. Yeah, go for it! The interesting thing about this group of shrimp is that several of them even have red rostrums, which is unusual even among blue pearls that get stripes. I've always meant to try to isolate and enhance this trait, but never got around to it. I'd be thrilled if you can do it!
Check this one out. Male, I think:

The sub-group with the most stripes isn't terribly blue (though the females in breeding mode can get gorgeous), but they are very neat. Once you get a good group of striped line-bred, you can always try to breed them up in blueness with some of the bluer blues in the rest of the colony.

You have the vast majority from my colony, and as the young group matures and the older ones acclimate, I think you'll have plenty to work with. I'm so glad you're taking the project on!

Jade, I have 5 words for you: Petco dollar per gallon sale. A 10G will be a more cost effective setup.

Its more about room then money Overgrowth My house is very small and I already have 3 tanks running. If this actually takes off I am thinking of setting up a tank at my parents house lol. They only live about a mile away and I have a spare 20 l begging to be set up.
