I really need help with this I'm trying to figure out what should I get I have a 150 gallon aquarium 72 x18x24 I recently are looking at two particular fixture the odyssea t5 an the beams work led an I'm not trying to spend over $300
Low, medium, or high light?
I have t5s, leds, and cfls all for different purposes and doing well. Cfl bulbs and work lamp reflectors being cheapest initial costs but over several years will be more than LEDs (have to replace t5 ad cfl bulbs after every 6 months of use).
I'm a fan of T5. Been using odyssea t5ho all the while. Giving me a good high light with fraction of led cost. And I'm able play around with colour bulbs to suit my liking and plants.
Finnex Ray 2 will save you a boatload over T5HO in the long run. Uses much less power, doesn't require expensive bulbs every 9 months, and runs cool rather than hot.
