baby bristlenose pleco--rehoming?
My friend has a baby bristlenose pleco she says is about half an inch long. She wants to rehome it and I wanted one anyway so....
My only question is, do baby fish require any particular care? I mean I know they're not puppies but half an inch seems a little young to move him to a new tank. Will they do ok on algae wafers until my tank starts growing algae? |

Just make sure you have food for it at night on the bottom. Even when you have algae, they still need some pellets to balance their diet.

Good info. Now by pellets, dO you mean algae pellets or should I let him get some shrimp pellets etc too?
Does he need bogwood? |

Actually I have a nice driftwood arrangement, will that do, or does it need to be "bogwood?" From what I've been able to gather, they're essentially the same thing?

driftwood is fine. As for pellets, mine eat any type that hits the bottom. If you have algae pellets, thats fine as they contain other nutrients plus if any of your other fooed hits the bottom they will enjoy that too.
