I recently started caring about my plants for real so I though I'd do a journal to keep track of the (perhaps to come) progress ^_^;
Its a 150x50x50 framed tank, housing an my axolotl Axel-Roslie and a bunch of zebra danio
Im hoping to manage to create a carpet of micro sword and fill in the edges with crypts and tall stemplants to create a jungle feeling
Since axolotls need chilly water Im not heating the tank and its usually around 20C.
I bought the plants from a mix-table so I dont know their names but I will look it up in a while. Im pretty sure the anibuas are Nana or Caffeefolia
Tank in place after some days of messing around with the hard scape
Trying to get the scape up
Plants! First time using a pincet, had lots of fun
Filling up - problems. Lots of floaters and the main piece of driftwood turned too instable, so after about 1 day of feeling unhappy about it I simply took out what I intended to be the eye catcher. Right away I liked the new look since the base for the DW was a heap of honeycomb rocks. I put the main piece to the right instead
This is how it turned out. I now have no focal point, but instead I get a smooth calm feeling from it and I think it will be nice once/if it grows in.
