Pacific carried CPD's last time I was there, about a month ago. I don't remember the price but it definitely was not $9 a piece. I bought mine from Caribbean Blue (might be too far from you) and I think I lucked out, it was 4 for $10. See if you can give either place a call and find out. Good luck!

Carribean hasn't had them since that 4 for 10 deal that I slept on lol. Was just there Saturday.

Hey all, just moved to the area (living in Jersey City/working in Hoboken). Unfortunately, lost one of my cacatuoides in the move

Anyone know where I can find a single male apistogramma cacatuoides "orange flash" locally? I tried Fish Hut (they usually have a great selection) but no luck.

Also, what are the must-see shops in NYC? I keep seeing Pacific on Delancey pop up on recommendations, anywhere else I should check out?

You should be able to find them sold as individuals at the Fish Hut. They had a bunch when I was there a few weeks ago.

Went there this weekend, that's where I originally picked up the pair... I really like that shop. Unfortunately they were all sold out.

I spoke to one of the guys that works there during the week a while back and he said they import them from a European source. So they can be something of a feast or famine thing. But honestly, it's the height of summer and most shops can look a little empty. They should have them again in a few weeks at the very least. It's the only pace I've seen that offers them as individuals.

Yes, it really has. For example, your last post to this thread was on 9/12/2014!!

But seriously, I think many of the people that used to post here are now using Facebook.

That seems like an awesome little store. I've scratched my head for years at why stores don't offer educational sessions aimed at the little guys.

Monster had some Apistos, nice looking gold rams long fins, not too much on the plant side
They are having 2 for one price on discus, but given the high prices they come out the same as buying from Kenny or the other guys.
