Ok this one is a long shot but I'll try anyway...

When I first got into fishkeeping I had a tank geared towards fish only, yet had a go at growing a couple of plants. Most failed but I had this one plant which grew out of control, i was constantly pruning it and i got a very dense bush out of it. This was with extremely low lighting and no added nutrients. It was sold to me as 'christmas plant' and I have never been able to find it again. It was a stem plant and looked from what I can remarkably similar to Pogostemon stellatus, yet I could never imagine stellatus growing so well under these conditions and have tried several times with it since with no luck.

Has anyone got any idea what this 'christmas plant' could be?

Thanks for the help, I know its hard to ID a plant from a description like that
I'm thinking it may have been L. aromatica, I might give it a go, I'd love to get the plant again, because it grew amazingly fast and looked really good under the most basic of conditions
