Humped back?
One of my female betta fish has a humped back. Should I be concerned or is it just a sign that she is getting old? She eats great and is very active so I know she not sick.

How old is she?
I see this in female guppies too.

What kind of tank is she in, water params, what are you feeding her. More info, pictures?. Age is not likely.

The tank is a 10 gallon. And I am not sure of the water parameters. I just set the tank up a month ago so i am sure its not established yet and nitrates might be a little high. I feed her omega one betta food and frozen bloodworms once a week. She also nibbles on the shrimp pellets I feed my cory cats. But here's a pic.

Oh, good think you posted a picture. Did you buy her like that?
Check periodically to see if that grows. One of my white cloud has a tumor like growth on its side. It's active and eats fine. It might be that. There's nothing that can be done short of surgery.
