Ya if those snails were Nerites then don't worry, those snails are technically terrestrial, I have them in my 10g Reef Tank and every once and a while the congregate in a small corner of the tank out of the water.

Hope to see that Blyxa in there....Newman knows what he's talking about

It was an MTS and is still alive. Saw it move and was like "knew it"

I don't have the Blyxa yet but it's been on my mind

Question though, how often does one do a water change on a small bowl like this?

I like to do Tri-Weekly of about 25% in my 4g bowl

once you start do them frequently until its cycled. after that once weekly is good.

I use a turkey baster to drain out water an carefully suck out debris. I probablly do 50% once or twice a month. To refill I use a plastic cup and pour into a small measuring cup held at the water surface. Pouring from the cup to measuring cup reduces turbulence in the water so you wont need to worry about making a mess of your substrate
