They can be a pain when it comes to planting. I remember the first time I had it they all kept floating and every day I'd have to replant like 10 stems. Drove me nuts. Eventually I figured out if you pull the leaves off the bottom 1.5" or so and plant that it's usually enough to keep it planted and allows a nice root structure to grow more quickly.

Yup, strip away about 3/4" of leaves off the bottom if the blyxa and it will stay. Then just leave it alone and don't touch if for like two weeks.

Thanks guys, if they come up I will follow your instructions. I typically do that with stems, but I guess considering these aren't your typical stem plants I didn't follow through with that.
