I'm planning to plant either Fissiden Fontanus of HC as a carpet plant. Which plant is grows faster? Which looks better as a foreground plant? Please list your opinions and experiences.
Tank Specs-
Lighting- F15T8 15W Fluorescent Light
Substrate- Dirted and covered with smooth gravel
Chemicals- Excel
Hardscape- Redmoor Root Wood and Yamaya Stone (future)
Inhabitants- Harlequin Rasbora and Sterbai Corydoras
Fissidens is a slow grower, difficult to cultivate in large quantities, and mosses dont usually take well with excel
HC grows faster but not fast, needs alot of light, ferts and co2, I dont think you would be satisfied with the growth rate and look with only excel and , but i could be wrong.
Ok, that is one impressive growth of Fissidens. How long did it take to accumulate that growth? Could you spare me a portion?
