was wonderingthe if would anyone be interested in a kind of slap together local swap meet sort of thing? nothing formal like the auctions the aquarium societies do, but maybe once a month or every other month folks get together at like a diner or starbucks (blah)or dunkin and swap or sell what ya brought? any thoughts?
Ok. This sort of slacked off a bit. So I will jump in. How is 3/3/12 for everybody? I can probably get use of the garage I work at to meet. It is convenient to all areas. It is right by the tac-pal bridge. But it would have to be after 1:00, since that is what time we close. Maybe i'll run an oil change special with every fish purchased......lol let me know folks.
I know. Spring break is that week, right? Well, i'm sure this won't be the last one.....lol
Remember people, private deals are still allowed. If you need/want something post here and maybe someone can help out. Even if you have stuff you want to sell/swap. Speaking of which I have an abundance of Malaysian trumpet snails. Anyone want any before the hit man goes in on friday???
What do those fixtures look like? Basic shop lights, or a little more clean? I found hanging lights at a local hardware store. I'm thinking about using these right now with CFLs on a Mr.Aqua 12 gallon long (3ft long tank)
This is my spring break I guess. I won't be able to do next weekend. Other commitments and that would be too much traveling.
I'm not sure what I'm looking for as far as shrimp go. I haven't done enough research on them yet. I'll have to figure out what will work best with my water parameters, what can go together since I want a few different types, and what is out there right now. I've seen some super tigers that I like, some of the oranges are cool, and I like the painted reds. My tanks won't be ready for a little bit, but I got a couple Amano shrimp two weekends ago for my girlfriend's tank (one didn't make it this past weekend while she was visiting, so she is down to one). She definitely wants more, but she has a dwarf gaurami that has started being territorial. I'm not sure much else would survive with it shrimp wise. I figure cherries are usually cheap, so if a few got taken up by the food chain it wouldn't be too big of a loss, but I'd prefer it if it didn't go down that way. I think I need the plants to grow in a bit more before I actually consider any more shrimp for that tank.
price looks good
i want 2 24inch light for sure , and will buy 1 or 2 double light
when can i visit you ? pm me
my name is Jimmy btw , i almost visited u in the past for buying albino full red guppies
I'll be home 3/2 or 3/3 for spring break, but I can't say how long I'll be around my house because I'm planning on going down the shore that weekend. I need to pick up some sand though, so I'll be around at some point and we can meet up.
MTS are pretty awesome while we're on the subject. I don't even have any fish in my 30 gallon planted, but I toss in a couple algae disks every few days just to feed the snails. They are definitely good at cleaning my plants of algae and diatoms.
My spring break starts the 9th, but I'll be down the shore until Sunday. I'll have the rest of the week off though. I need to pick up some sand from Fishies in philly at some point, so if anyone wants to plan something with the two of us I can bring a huge box of anubias or other stuff along for the ride since I'll be closer into philly.
I'm going to Seattle next weekend so wont b around, and fishing on 29th, I'm game for any other weekend. Maybe this weekend?
