I have 4 adorable little long finned blue eye albino plecos! They have been eating well, and look healthy and happy.....except one of them has a big brown patch on it's side. Is this something to be worried about? :confused1:
Oh good, that's what I was hoping! Birthmarks aren't nearly as scary as some of the crazy things my worried mind was thinking up
Dojo loaches! Spot looks like he has a mask, I'd want to call him something equally as silly like Zorro
Oh how I miss mine, Falcor was his name, came in my 55 from craigslist.
Alaizabelle - Hi! It is just like a birthmark. It pops up here and there on the babies. Remember, way back when.....the original male L144 was supposedly bred to a brown female which started this whole breed color. Sometimes the brown spot fades with age. I had a female who lost her spot at about 2 years old.
Oh good! The little guy is still doing great, the four of them actually just transitioned over into the bigger 55 gallon tank and seem to be happy and healthy still!
I was just worried for the little guy. The first 6 bristlenose plecos I had (2 albino, 4 brown) all died one by one from some strange skin disease... it was sad, and I didn't want something like that to happen again!
