So it must be the temperature then. Interesting. I wonder how I managed to grow it in my tank when I had it a couple of years ago. I had planned on getting more, but my tanks run hot so I don't think I'll chance it for now.

Yeah, I'm going to guess a large part of it has to do with temperature. Of course I may be missing other things, but it seems the rest is pretty constant. The newest growth on it is green and flawless, I haven't seen that since I planted it a few months ago.

That's really great. It just goes to show that with all the talk about lighting, CO2, and ferts, there are still other factors that may be at play with different plants. I'm glad you tried it in the turtle tank. Now you get to really enjoy the plant rather than having it be a constant source of frustration.
